1. Roller bearing damage caused by external pollution

Because belt conveyors often In the working environment with serious dust pollution, after long-term use, the external dust pollutants may enter the roller bearing seat through the dust-proof sealing ring or dust-proof labyrinth, resulting in the pollution of lubricating oil. In addition, if the bearing is installed incorrectly, contaminants will also enter the inside of the bearing. These contaminants in the bearing will cause the wear of the bearing inner ring, rolling elements, and raceway surfaces, resulting in bearing failure. In addition, if foreign objects enter the inside of the bearing when installing the roller bearing, it will also cause wear inside the bearing during operation.

2. Machining error of the roller shaft head

There is a machining error on the roller shaft head, which will also affect the bearing Normal use. 3. Bearing damage caused by incorrect installation of roller bearings

The roller bearings of belt conveyors are generally divided into cylindrical bore spherical roller bearings and There are two types of tapered bore spherical roller bearings. Cylindrical bore bearings are generally pressed in by a press or shrink-fit, and tapered bore bearings are generally locked on the adapter sleeve with a lock nut. For the pressure method to install the bearing, it should be noted that the lower support must be on the inner ring of the bearing. If it is supported on the outer ring, it is easy to damage the rolling elements and the raceway surface. The press-fitting method is only suitable for installing bearings with small interference. If the bearing has a large interference or is inconvenient to press-fit, it needs to be installed by the hot-fitting method.

Be sure to pay attention to the control of the heating temperature and the uniformity of heating when the bearing is shrink-fitted. At present, electric induction heaters or oil cooking methods are generally used, and the heating temperature generally cannot exceed 120 °C. If the bearing has a sealing ring inside, the temperature cannot exceed 80 °C. When the temperature exceeds 120 °C, the bearing steel will be tempered, and the metallographic structure of the metal will change, which will reduce the hardness of the ring. When using the oil boiling method, the oil temperature must be controlled first, and the bearing should not be touched to the bottom of the container to prevent foreign matter from entering the bearing or uneven heating, otherwise the service life of the bearing will be reduced.

If the free end of the bearing seat is too small, the bearing will also be damaged. The roller bearing seat generally adopts one support end to make the bearing opposite the position of the shaft and the housing hole. Fixed (called fixed end) to achieve the positioning of the shaft. At the other support end of the shaft, the bearing and the shaft or the housing hole can move relatively (called the free end) to compensate for the length change caused by thermal deformation and installation errors. If the free end of the free end is too small to compensate for the change during installation, the bearing will be damaged due to excessive axial load.

4. The roller bearing is damaged due to abnormal operation of the tape.

If the tape deviates, the tension will be unevenly distributed along the width direction, and the tape acts on the The force on the drum will also be unevenly distributed, the force on the deviation side will increase, and the bearing of the drum on the deviation side will bear a larger radial force, which will shorten the service life of the bearing.

5. Bearing failure due to quality problems of the bearing itself or improper maintenance during use
